Warren started playing drums in an R&B band called The Excellos in London in the early ‘80’s and then joined an Indie band called The Grieve. Following that he played with various Blues bands before moving to the South Coast and playing in an Irish Folk-Rock outfit called The Hedgemonkeys, His journey through the musical genres continued with him joining a Rock covers band called Station X. From there he joined successful Dorset Ska band Ratrace with whom he played for several years. Following the departure of Will Hack, Warren joined  Bram Stoker. Warren is married to bass player & vocalist Jo and they have two teenage boys.
